Hugo Neu has over 65 years of experience building and managing recycling businesses and was the largest exporter of recycled metals from the US. Recent corporate highlights include leading the effort to revive curbside recycling in NYC in 2003 and processing most of the scrap metal from the WTC after 9/11. In 2005, Hugo Neu merged its recycling businesses with the Sims Group, a merger in which Sims became the world's largest recycling company globally and Hugo Neu became its largest shareholder. In 2007, Hugo Neu sold most of its shares in Sims.
Hugo Neu is now bringing its wealth of experience to two ventures: Hugo Neu Recycling, an innovative New York City area electronic recycling company, and Hugo Neu Americas, which is developing an $80 million, state-of-the-art recycling facility in Puerto Rico.
